The Promises She Keeps - Erin Healy

 I finished reading The Promise She Keeps by Erin Healy a few days ago. All in all it was a really good book, the first chapters for me were a little iffy but I enjoyed it.

Promise a aspiring singer has Cystic Fibrosis, a terminal disease. She is counting on the fame from making it big as a singer to keep her memory going. Porta, an aging sorceress is searching for immortality. Chase is an austic man who's in love with Promise and also an artist. He has a way with trees, he matches people with the trees they are. After a few freak accidents Porta starts to think Promise is the one she's looking for. You also meet Portas' son, Zach. Chases' twin sister & his handler. There's a twist in the book that I did not see coming, it had me amazed that you didn't have any indication that was the case.

Though I have never read any of Erin Healys' work I truly enjoyed this book and most definitely pick up more of her works in the future. Her attention to detail was amazing. I'd definitely recommend this book to friends.
